We'll start with the [Settings] folder, which is located inside the [Common] folder, the first file we'll cover is the Settings.ini file.

The first thing you'll see when you open the Settings file is that it is well organized with section headers and basic explanation for the included features.

This file is also the most important file, it is where you set most of the variables that tells UCC how to look & behave. It is built into various sections, each named, organized & includes basic explanation for each function within the section.

Let's begin...

VISUAL ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES

Here are the available settings you'll find there:

Sets the background color of the windows if Color2 is set, otherwise sets the font color. Each value will match the color it is shown in.

(0=Black, 1=Blue/Dark Blue, 2=Green, etc.)

Color2 No Same as Color1 Sets the font color for the UCC console window.
DefaultTitle No 1 or Blank If set to 1 tells UCC to use the default window title, leave blank to use a custom title
Title Depends Text String Sets a custom title for the UCC Console Window. REQUIRED only if DefaultTitle is left blank

GENERAL CONVERSION VARIABLES

There are more options available here than the previous section, some are optional, others are required and some are used by other options, here's the list:

conversionBy Yes Text String Used to display the name of the conversion creator
compresBy Yes Text String Used to display the name of the person of worked out the compression
graphicsBy Yes Text String Used to display the name of the person who created the Setup graphics for the conversion
Thanks No Text String Used to display thank you credits
Music No Text String Used to display information on the music used in the setup creation
isCollection Yes y/n or Blank Tells UCC if the conversion is an AIO collection or a single game, if left blank behaves as if was set to no (n)
isSteam Yes y/n Tells UCC if the game is steam based so it can display the correct example folder
steampath Yes Text String Input the path to steam within the Program Files folder to display in the example folder, Default path is usually correct.
exclusive No Text String Used to display a line that tells that the conversion was made exclusively for a certain website
Discs# Yes Numeric Used to tell UCC how many discs the conversion results in, used for many things throughout the script
DiscType Yes Text String Used to tell UCC the type of disc the conversion is meant for (DVD9, DVD5, Etc.)
GamesInCollection No Numeric Used to tell UCC how many games are in the AIO conversion, only used if isCollection is set to yes (y)

splitreq Yes y/n or Blank Tell UCC if file splitting is required, set no (n) or leave blank if not required, if left blank behaves by default as if it was set to no (n)

GAME VARIABLES.

This section is used to set information related to the game or games you are converting, it is comprised of the following options:

GameTitle Yes Text String Tell UCC the name of the game or AIO conversion
Publisher Yes Text String Tell UCC the name of the game's publisher
MediaPrefix Yes Text String Tell UCC what short name to use for each disc's folder (Disc_1, Disc_2, Etc.)
DefaultDir No Text String Optional: Tells UCC the default directory to set if folder selection is cancelled
EXE1-EXE10 Yes Text String EXE1 is ALWAYS REQUIRED, The rest are only REQUIRED if making AIO conversion. Tells UCC the name (and path if needed) of the game's executable file, this allows UCC to verify the folder selected is correct.

ALL-IN-ONE VARIABLES

This section is used to set general variables for AIO conversions such as number of games, game names & game folders, mostly used for visual display.

ShowGames Yes y/n Tells UCC whether to display the list of games and their expected folders or not
Games# Yes Numeric Tells UCC how many games in the AIO conversion, this is used to perform games executable checks and therefore REQUIRED when making AIO conversions
Game1-Game10 No Text String Used to display the names of the games in the AIO conversion if ShowGames is set to yes (y)
GameDir1-GameDir10 Depends Text String Only REQUIRED if ShowGames set to yes and only for the games defined in Game1-Game10. Used to display the expected path to each game in the conversion within the parent folder.

GENERAL DATA FILES VARIABLES

This section is used to set general variables that relates to naming the data files and some data files related behavior.

OneDataOnly Yes y/n Tell UCC if it needs to create multiple data files or only one
EXT Yes Text String Defines the file extension for the data files (e.g. .Bin)
OneDiscOnly Yes y/n Tell UCC if the conversion is a single disc or multiple discs conversion
DataPrefix Yes Text String Defines the name of the data file before the number and extension
UseListFiles Yes y/n Tells UCC whether to use the Data#.ini files for Include & Exclude or to use text lists located in Common\Lists folder
MoveRedist No y, n or Blank Tells UCC if it needs to move the REDIST folder out of the game directory before compression.

RedistFolder Depends Test String Defines the folder name of the REDIST to be used with MoveRedist. REQUIRED only if MoveRedist set to YES (y)

RedistDisk Depends Numeric Defines which disc number UCC should put the REDIST folder in if using MoveRedist. REQUIRED only if MoveRedist set to YES (y)

FILE SPLITTING VARIABLES

This section is used to set up the UCC File Splitter operation, if set up correctly UCC will completely automate the splitting process:

splitreq Yes y/n or Blank Tell UCC if file splitting is required, set no (n) or leave blank if not required, if left blank behaves by default as if it was set to no (n)
split# Depends Numeric Tell UCC how many files to split, Only REQUIRED if splitreq set to yes (y)
DelAfter No y, n or Blank Tells UCC if it should delete the original file after splitting completed, if left blank UCC will ask the user what to do.

Note: New in Version 4.1.3.1

SplitArc Depends y, n or Blank Defines if the splitting operation is performed on game files or Data archive (e.g. Data.bin file), if set to YES (y), Splitfile1-Splitfile10 are ignored. If left blank UCC will request user input

SplitSize No Numeric Tell UCC what size each part of the split files should be, this value is set in MB so 1.5GB will be 1500, if left blank UCC will ask for size during operation.
Splitfile1-Splitfile10 No Text String Tell UCC the path & filenames within the game folder for the splitting operation. If left blank UCC will prompt to select the files manually.

AUTOMATIC AUTORUN.INF CREATION VARIABLES

This section is used to tell UCC how to fill out the autorun.inf file in each disc of the conversion, it is comprised of the following options:

Variable Required Values Description
LabelSuffix Yes Text String Sets the media type to use in Autorun.inf file after the game name.

EXAMPLE: LabelSuffix=DVD

RESULT: Label=Game Title DVD

action Yes Text String Sets the default action text string that is displayed when the disc is inserted into the drive.

EXAMPLE: action=Play

RESULT: Play GameTitle
